Substance Use

We offer substance use treatment and therapy at both the Counseling Center (North) and the Recovery Center (South). Such options including individual, family and relationship counseling, medication management, and psychiatric services for mild to moderate conditions. More severe conditions are addressed on a case-by-case basis, and referrals are offered as needed.

An initial intake appointment is required for all services. Our programs serve adults, teens and adolescents, and children ages 4 and older. We also offer Open Enrollment, where walk-in intakes are encouraged. Our philosophy is person-centered which means we put you at the center of your treatment and respect your freedom to make your own choices and choose your own direction.

For more information about scheduling an appointment or for questions about insurance and payment options, please call our North Campus customer service representatives at (904) 829-2273.

Teens & Adolescents

The teen years are a time for trying new things, including experimenting with alcohol or other drugs. Curiosity, enjoying the way it makes them feel, to reduce/handle their stress, to fit in, to hide their feelings of insecurity/self-doubt or to be rebellious are all reasons why they may choose to use. It’s difficult to know which teens will experiment and stop and which will develop serious problems. EPIC provides services for teens who are experimenting with drugs and alcohol as well as those already showing signs of addiction.

Services include:

  • Substance and Mental Health Evaluations
  • Individual and Family Counseling
  • Teen Substance Use Group (ages 13-17)
  • Psychiatric Evaluations
  • Medication Management
  • Crisis Intervention | Call (904) 495-7001

Adults

For many people, using drugs (illegal or prescription) or alcohol can lead to negative consequences or addiction. Substance use can cause problems at work, home, school, and in relationships, leaving the person feeling isolated, helpless, or ashamed. For some adults, their alcohol or drug problem began in their teens and as their responsibilities build, their substance use catches up to them. EPIC provides services for adults who are using drugs or alcohol as well as those dealing with addiction. EPIC also works with loved ones of people dealing with an addiction.
